About Boof *On Trial in His New Home*
*BOOF IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* Laidback Boof is one of a two healthy, happy puppies who were rescued from Robinvale pound by one of our wonderful SARG committee members. We later found out that they’re a rather bizarre mix as their mother is a Red/Blue Heeler “bitsa” while their father has Rottweiler and St Bernard in him which explains why Boof has this amazing feeling fur which is thick and woolly with a bit of an undercoat – they are real large breed Heinz 57 puppies with lots of love to give!
Both pups have lovely, friendly nature’s and get along well with their carers other dogs and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults as well as children making them pretty much “bomb proof” – they’re even good with the household cats and the ducks and chickens! \ And you should see them bouncing around after their foster carers pet rabbits and then they curl up for a puppy-nap with their pet pig who thinks he’s a dog anyway! Both pups LOVE food and aren’t fussy so this is helping them with learning the basics such as “sit” and “down”. We reckon they’ll be the size of large Labradors once they finish growing.
Adorable Boof certainly lives up to his name, he’s such a boofy boy! He’s a big cuddly dufus who’s a bit like an oversized Ragdoll cat when you pick him up as he goes all floppy and loves to snuggle. He enjoys a play with his brother as well as another female pup we have in care who is quite dominant but Boof just lets her have her way; nothing seems to faze him! He also likes toys and is starting to get the hang of “fetch”. \ As he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep Boof stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief.

As Boof is already picking up housetraining he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup as he’s used to having company.
If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to bring up laidback Boof then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link or by copying and pasting it into your browser: http://www.sarg.net.au/adoptapet.html

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed,
references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
