Jane

Jane was rescued from the pound, after she'd been found as a stray. This lovely girl has obviously been a pet, she is so sweet in every way. Easy to handle, trusting, and seems to be submissive and comfortable around other chickens (although she has had no direct contact with them yet). Jane needs a home where she'll be loved like a pet, and not taken simply for her eggs. Why is it that most dogs or cats don't have to "work" for their living, and yet some people will only take a chook while they're laying? This girl will make someone a lovely garden companion.
