About Darius (On Trial 5/7/13)
Darius is a 3 year old kelpie x red cattle dog. He has grown up with kids so is very patient! One of the kids he has grown up with has Smith-Magenis Syndrome, he has been a really good friend to her. She can pull on his ears tug at his mouth and he won't care!
Darius has a beautiful personality and cares so much about the kids. He loves to run around and chase after a ball. He goes for a run with my husband on the lead every night and the only problem he has is that Darius is a social butterfly to say hello to everyone he meets someone for the first time. Darius is very obedient and just wants to be loved.
Darius is in need of a new home through no fault of his own. Sadly, our landlord will not allow us to have a dog. Darius would be suited to a loving family who will give him a lot of exercise and a lot of love. He would make a great companion either to a young family or an retired couple! He is great with all people.
For more information or to meet Darius please contact Caroline on 02-4988-6401 or email moorefieldsfarm@bigpond.com . Darius is in Medowie NSW 2318 (25 minutes north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Darius's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
