About Pixie (On Trial 18/7/13)
Hello my name is Pixie and I'm a 15 week old, female, Labrador x Australian Cattle Dog x Kelpie. I am a very playful puppy and am learning new things every day. I enjoy playing with other dogs and puppies but do get a little rough if they are smaller than me. I know how to sit, go to bed, the word no, and to wait for my dinner. I'm working on learning to walk on the lead. I get nervous of new people but within a few minutes I'm over it and playing.
I came into Dog Rescue Newcastle's care with my two sisters Trixie and Dixie who are also available for adoption. I am wanting a home where I can be inside and outside. I love having other dogs to play with and must have plenty of toys as I am still just a puppy.

We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
For more information or to meet Pixie please phone foster carer Kylie on 0470 704 513. Pixie is in foster care in Maitland, NSW (20 minutes northwest of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Pixie's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
