Flirt

Gorgeous Flirt is a velcro dog that is ALL about the love. She’s sweet natured, extremely affectionate and gentle, and has been at ease with both children and other dogs. She just wants to be with you and thrives on opportunities to interact and engage.

It appears nobody had invested much time into this girl previously, but she’s been a solid learner. Since coming into foster care, Flirt has learned to sit, to wait for her meals, has developed superb recall and walks on a perfectly slack lead. She will also stay nearby off-lead until given the release command.

She still has a ‘please love me’ tendency to jump up or push her nose into whatever you’re doing for attention, but she’s working on that every day and making great strides. Likewise with her housetraining, which is very good but will need reinforcement to be perfected according to her forever home’s needs and schedules. Positive reinforcement and consistency will be rewarded with love and a desire to please once she is clear on what you want.

Flirt has shown no chewing or destructive tendencies, and is very happy to sleep or relax on her own as long as she gets a reasonable opportunity to get out for a run with other dogs and/or humans each day. She is a very easy dog who just needs a stable forever structure to become fully confident and blossom into her fullest potential.
