About Lucy (On Trial 14/6/13)
Lucy is a 5 year old, female, Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is an amazingly sweet girl who loves to run and play. She is housetrained, walks very well on a leash and knows how to sit and shake hands. Lucy loves people and other dogs. She will curl up with you on the couch or in her dog bed. Lucy is a quiet girl and rarely barks.
Lucy came from a house where there were children, however my husband and I do not have children and I have not witnessed her around children. She is currently living with my 3 medium/large dogs and gets along well with them. She seems to have a bit of separation anxiety when left alone outside. She would be best suited to a home with at least 1 other dog med/large dog.
Lucy uses the doggy door to go in and out during the day and has not been left inside for long periods of time without having access to outside. She has not had any ‘accidents’ in the house. She has a fear of water. We have had to leash her to give her a bath. I have not taken her to the beach yet to see if she will go in willingly.
She was with one family from the time she was a puppy. \ The owners got a divorce, the husband had her and couldn’t find a house to keep her and then couldn’t afford her. She came to me with fly bites on her ears and fur missing off of her neck from being chained outside all the time. But she is fine now.
Lucy is a beautify, affectionate who finds herself in need of a new home through no fault of her own. She is ready to be begin her new life and make some lucky family very happy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
