About Barney (2) (On Trial 26/5/13)
Hello I’m Barney. I’m a 10 month old Australian Cattle x (possibly with some Rottweiler?) but I’m not very big only a medium sized dog. I love all people, other dogs, and kids. I’m just so friendly, I would be happy in most households as long as I could go on a daily walk. Being the only dog or with others doesn’t bother me. I adore kids I’m gentle with them and just love to be petted and follow them around.
Fetch is a great game. I love to play either with you or other dogs. I won’t run away from you if you let me off the lead at the park. I’d prefer to be in a house without cats - I won’t hurt them but I will bark at them and try to play with them like they are a dog. I will just love you to pieces and be your best friend if you let me into your home.
For more information or to meet Barney please phone foster carer Mel on 0432 288 773 or email me11ne@hotmail.com . Barney is in foster care in Edgeworth, NSW, 2285 (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Barney’s $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
