About Kenya aka Kenny
Kenny been in care since birth and is currently residing with his human foster mum, fur foster siblings Piccolo, Lulu, Timone and Pumba and Storm the budgie.
Kenny is a loyal and placid boy. He is not a lap cat although will jump up on the lounge for a snuggle/spoon next to his human friend.
He doesn't mind being picked up occasionally and held on your shoulder but his preference is being picked up and taken to bed. Once in the bedroom he will sit and purr in your arms for a good few minutes. Kenny is however a large and quite heavy cat.
He is naturally a shy man with visitors but will come around with regular contact.
He still loves to play in cat tunnels, on cat climbing trees and will come to sabotage play between other cats or cat and carer to ensure he is not missing out on any fun.
Kenny will take a little time trust a new human friend and show his true personality. Once he does he loves attention and cuddles - his purrs are heard from miles away. He is very gentle and will do a forward roll onto the ground in front of you for cuddles and roll onto his back for a belly rub. His favourite position for petting is lying on his back with legs apart.
As Kenny is initially shy with new humans he would be best housed in a family with older children or with a cat loving couple.
Kenny is great with other friendly cats. He will hiss for a day or so but then makes friends very quickly. He could be successfully housed with any of his foster siblings.
Kenny has never been outdoors so it would be preferable to allow him remain an indoor cat with maybe limited outdoor access.
Kenny will he timid and scared on first arrival to his forever home, however, given a few weeks to settle he will come out of his shell.
Future options for settling Kenny in can be discussed in inquiry.
