About Misty (On Trial 7/6/13)
My name is Misty I'm a 10 year old Maltese. I need a best friend and a warm lap to curl up on. I would love to join you on your daily walk and I especially love to go to the beach and feel the freedom of being off lead. I don't run away. I get on well with children. I'm an indoor dog day and night unless I need to go to the toilet. I am housetrained and can use the doggy door. I only bark if someone comes to the door.
I don't bother the two cats that I am living with. "Live and let live", I say. I don't like to be left home alone for long periods so someone that is home most of the time would be best for me. Can I be your new little friend?
-----
Misty has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful. Misty likes most other dogs but not all of them, so if you have another dog Misty will need to be introduced to them before adopting her.
For more information or to meet Misty please phone foster carer Carmen on 0421 859 929 or email carmen0785@hotmail.com . Misty is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate.
Misty's $200 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
