About Timmy (On Trial 18/8/13)
Handsome boy Timmy is a border collie x kelpie, about 5 years old. He is extremely timid at first as he has had a pretty hard life. But with lots of love, patience, a bit of training and companionship he will become your best mate.
Typical border collie, Timmy is very energetic and enjoys going to a park or beach where he can have a good run off lead. A secure yard with high fences is a must. He needs to be walked regularly and is excellent on the lead. He adores the water and will stay there all day if you let him.
Timmy feels the cold and needs to be allowed inside after dark and to sleep inside. He has been living with another dog and a 9 yr old child and has been fantastic with them both. Timmy is a very special boy who needs to settle into his forever loving home.
For more information or to meet Timmy please phone Caroline on 02-4988-6401 or email moorefieldsfarm@bigpond.com . Timmy is in foster care in southeast Lake Macquarie, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Timmy's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
