About Angie (On Trial 11/6/13)
Angie is a 2yo Australian Silky Terrier x. Her motto in life is "play like there is no tomorrow!" She is full of life and loves to go for a run in the bush and beach, on or off leash. But she is also very sweet and cuddly and has a favourite teddy which she loves to play with and cuddle up to.
Angie is great with children of all ages. She sometimes jumps up when she is excited but is very gentle. She could learn not to jump if given more training and would love to go to dog training classes. She gets on great with other dogs but thinks it's lots of fun to chase cats and birds and the skinks in the garden.
Angie loves to have a bath and be pampered and brushed. She has recently been groomed and is looking extra special so we'll try to get some new photos of her soon. She is ok to spend time outside during the day so long as she has good shelter and another friendly dog to keep her company. In the evening she comes inside for a cuddle and must sleep inside.
Angie recently had surgery to her right hind leg due to a luxating patella (a knee cap that slips out of place) but she is all fixed up now and fully recovered and you would never guess.
For more information or to meet Angie please phone Jo on 0427 031 308 . Angie is in foster care in Charlestown, NSW 2290 and is available for adoption interstate.
Angie's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
