About Narla **A Beautiful Shepherd **
Narla is a gorgeous shepherd. She absolutely adores water, give her a clam pool she will splash for ages also hose play is tops on her fun list and she will try to get the water before the garden does. Nala is a slow eater and quite often eats lying down. She needs to be coaxed to finish her meal, sometimes by hand feeding the remainder left in her bowl. She is not food motivated at all and is very gentle taking treats, as well as eating with other dogs if they don't want to steal her food, if they look like stealing her food she submits to them and leaves her bowl. Nala plays well with dogs of all sizes. At the dog park she may take a few minutes to get over her nervousness but then she gets going and goes and greets everyone. She also comes back to check on you from time to time. Inside Nala is a dream, she lets you know when she needs to go outside and when she is put to bed to sleep she sleeps all night. She is not a barker or yapper but is learning to protect her boundary, she is becoming extremely loyal and let's you know if someone comes onto your property. Her bark or growl / bark combination is very deep and intimidating if strangers come to the door, but she is absolutely the biggest sook! It's a dream taking her for walks on her lead as she doesn't pull hard at all and when you say her name she will slow and wait for you. When Nala is inquisitive she has a lovely quirk in that she will cock her head which makes us smile. She has the hugest radar size ears which add to her character. She is not sure about cats so will run to them to play but not to hurt them so if there are cats in the household supervision will be needed until she becomes familiar with them and vice versa. Nala is a larger shepherd but quite slender, she can often put her front paws onto the window sill when she is outside to check out what you are doing inside although she doesn't try to jump fences or anything at all. She loves to be able too see her family when they are inside when she hears them, and if on her own outside, she will lay at the back sliding door. She doesn't dig in the garden or dig up the grass nor does she touch the washing on the line. Nala likes doggy toys especially squeaky ones, she chases a ball or stick but is still learning to bring them back as sometimes she wants to keep them all to herself. She would adore a family that will give her lots of love that she will definitely give back in return and a family that will also be able to be firm with her sometimes as she is still a pup and still requires some training. Nala will be the most wonderful addition to any dog loving, active family.
