About Rocky *On Trial in His New Home*
*ROCKY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* Rocky is a terrific cross between super active and super snuggly. If you’re after an energetic companion who will happily play for hours, but then curl himself onto your lap for a cuddle and some tv time, then you can’t go past this adorable pup!!
Recently rescued from our local pound, where he’d ended up through no fault of his own, Rocky has settled in well into foster care where he’s being shown the ropes by his carers male Kelpie x Terrier and he’s not at all fazed by the household cat. He is super friendly and adores humans of all shapes and sizes though he might be a bit bouncy for a home with a toddler as he could accidentally bowl them over when he’s excited, and we wouldn’t recommend him for the elderly as he can get under your feet. Rocky is learning to “sit” for a treat as well as getting the hang of the “down” command for when he jumps up – he absolutely adores food which is making training a breeze. We don’t reckon he’d spent much time going for walks on a lead as he’s a bit all over the place though he’s getting better with plenty of practice. Rocky is pretty much fully grown and at just under 7kgs he’s a nice size doggie that doesn’t appear to lose much hair though will benefit from an occasional groom.

In his previous life we reckon Rocky was an outside only doggie so we’d like to see him in an indoor/outdoor lifestyle in his forever home (he’s already mastered his foster carers’ doggie door!) either on his own, so long as he won’t be left alone for long periods of time, or with a doggie friend to continue to learn from. Daily walks, ongoing obedience training, secure fencing, chicken wings to chew on (his fave!) and toys to keep Rocky stimulated will make him very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed,
references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
