About Bobby (On Trial 2/6/13)
Bobbie is a Shih Tzu x Jack Russell about 10 yrs old. He is healthy and very active. He gets on well with other dogs and loves to play, chew bones and “disembowel” his stuffed toys. He is good in the car and likes to walk nearly every day. He is housetrained and can use a doggy door. He isn't too thrilled with cats; he doesn’t hurt them, just likes to chase them or get in their face.
Bobby is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He has a non-shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and handsome.
Little dogs like him typically live to around 15, so Bobby has plenty of time to enjoy the rest of his life with his new family. He would love to be with one or more other dogs in his new home, or be a beloved only dog. Bobby will make someone a very loving, funny and lively companion.
For more information or to meet Bobby please phone foster carer Loraine on 02-4023-3085. Bobby is in foster care in Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquaire, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Bobby's $200 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
