About Tristan (On Trial 27/5/13)
Tristan is a Mini Foxy x 12 months old. He is exceptionally smart! He watches everything and learns very quickly. He is eager to please and is food motivated so easy to train. He learned how to use the doggy door immediately just by watching the other dogs. He would be fantastic at dog sports such as Rally-O, Agility, or Fly Ball, etc. He'd be the top dog in training class.
Tristan loves people and wants to make friends with everyone that he meets. He's great with kids. He is very affectionate and will happily cuddle up on your lap for some quality time. He is an inside dog and will need to be inside with the family \ and to sleep inside, with a sweater on at night.
Tristan is terrific with other dogs and is living with several small dogs and plays with them all. He sleeps in a crate at night and you never hear a peep out of him. He is almost totally housetrained in just a short time and mostly lets himself out the doggy door when nature calls, or if you don't have a doggy door just let him outside regularly.
***Note: We don't have photos of Tristan yet so these photos are just of other dogs that look very similar*** Tristan is mostly white with a brown head and a couple of patches on his body. He is quite small, approximately 5kgs. You can meet him and see for yourself.
For more information or to meet Tristan please phone foster carer Sue on 02-4954-2237 or 0415-367-144 or email docman4@bigpond.com . Tristan is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Tristan's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
