About Ruby (On Trial 25/5/13)
Ruby is an 11 week old Shar Pei x Jack Russell Terrier puppy. She is a very people friendly puppy. She has been good with all of the children she has met. She loves cuddles and playing with toys. She is also toilet trained using puppy training pads. She loves her food but doesn’t like to share. She is not too happy being bathed, but once you get her still is not too bad. She is not too keen on others dogs and would be best as an only dog. So far she has ignored our cats and rabbit. We think she'll grow up to be a medium sized dog.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
For more information or to meet Ruby please phone Robyn on 0468 435 587 (leave a msg if no answer. Sorry no email. Ruby is in care near Charlestown, NSW 2290 (south of Newcastle). You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Ruby was born on 19/02/13 and is ready to go to her forever home now. Her first and second vaccination and the cost of her desexing is included in her $450 adoption fee. You will need to take Ruby to one of our approved vets for desexing when she is 5 to 6 months old. After desexing you'll need to Lifetime Register your puppy ($40).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
