About Dexter
JUST LOVEABLE DEXTER .... GREAT ALL ROUNDER
People, kid, dog, cat, chook friendly boy. Available for adoption currently in foster care
Now we don’t know what one of our Super Foster Mums Keisha does with her foster dogs but so far she has managed to turn all her foster dogs Goldie, Trixie (both now adopted) and now Mr Dexter here into people loving, kid loving, dog loving, cat loving, chook loving dogs. Keisha will tell you what a great boy Dexter is he has heaps of personality and is always a happy, tail waggy fella who loves to play.
Today she tells us he is trying to play with Chilli the cat, crouching down with his bum in the air tail wagging and tapping her gently with his paw until Chilli swipes him. Then he does a crazy run around and comes back to do it again, he thinks its awesome fun ... Chilli is tolerating him as he is always playful and sweet with her.
Of course Dexter doesnt have to rehomed with cats and chooks : ) he will go equally well without them in a new home, his foster Mum feels he ideally needs to have a young or energetic doggie companion in his next home. One of Dexters favourite things is playing with the other doggies. Dexter is showing us whislt in foster care just what a good all round dog he is and ready for his forever home.
Adoption details
Please email or phone to make the enquiry about the dog you are interested in adopting and we can answer any further questions you may have. We will then send you an adoption application form to complete and return via email along with ID and photo's of your garden/yard and fencing/gates.
If the adoption application is approved a home check & meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting will be arranged. If you have other dogs in the family we like them to come along and also meet with the dog.
If all goes ahead and you adopt the dog there is a 4 week trial period to make sure they settle in their new home ok. If it works out well the adoption papers are then finalised and all dogs from our adoption program must be registered with your local council and the microchip details changed into your name and contact details.
