About Ruby (2) (On Trial 12/5/13)
Ruby is an absolutely adorable 8 month old Poodle x Shih Tzu, with a real zest for life. Ruby knows she is as cute as a button, she knows everyone wants to give her big cuddles to see if her woolly hair is a soft as it looks, she knows how to give people that big squeezy hug that makes people’s hearts melt. Ruby also knows how to make kids and other dogs fall in love with her, she knows all the tricks.
This little girl has a huge personality. She plays, jumps, chases kids around, loves her toys and will play with any dog within her sights. She is also incredibly affectionate and gives those big snuggly cuddles that make you fall in love with her.
However, Ruby needs a family that has a lot of time and energy to spend with her, and are willing to further her puppy training. She would also be great as a companion to another active dog.
Ruby looks like a perfect little teddy bear, but she is actually a big responsibility that needs to be looked after.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training, and not to be left outside in a yard all alone.
Ruby has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
For more information or to meet Ruby please phone foster carer Karen on 02 4947 7703. Ruby is in foster care in Floraville, NSW 2280 and is available for adoption interstate.
Ruby’s $500 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
