Lucky (On Trial 16/9/13)

Lucky is a 2 year old Chihuahau x Australian Terrier mix. He's the most charming boy with a very loving nature. The biggest thing that stands out about Lucky is that he is just so friendly! But not in a clingy, jump all over you sort of way. When you pick him up he'll lean his head against your chest like he is the happiest dog in the world. You can hold him in your arms like a baby and he will close his eyes and relax and go to sleep while you rub his chest. He is just so adorable!

Lucky would make the absolute perfect playmate for another small dog. It is hilarious to watch him play tug-of-war or chasies with another dog. He's also just as happy to play tug or fetch with a person. He's fine with cats. He mostly ignores them though might chase them when they run but means them no harm.

Lucky is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He is housetrained. He has been receiving basic training and is easy to train using food treats.

He lives for his daily walk and the opportunity to explore and get out and about. He enjoys his food and isn't a fussy eater. When he's curious about what you're doing he doesn't jump up but will stand on his hind legs and stretch out his neck to try to see what you're up to. Gosh, he is adorable! Lucky has a very soft, pretty coat with feathering on his tail and back legs. He just requires the occasional brushing and bath to keep him gorgeous.

Lucky loves company so maybe someone who has another little dog for him to play with or a person who doesn't work full time would be ideal. Lucky settled in well in his foster home and I'm sure he will do the same in his forever home.
