Hattie *On Trial in Her New Home*

*HATTIE IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME* Meet adorable Hattie!! At only 7.8kgs she looks like a Kelpie who shrank in the wash though she’s actually a very sweet little Terrier x who’s looking for a new home after misplacing her old one; will it be with you?

Recently rescued from our local pound Hattie is lapping up being spoilt by her foster carer’s teenage daughter and she also enjoys hanging out with the households’ Maltese. She is a friendly affectionate little dog who likes playing fetch even if she doesn’t always bring the ball back! She’s lovely and calm around other dogs though does jump up a bit on humans especially if she's excited so we wouldn't recommend her to a home with children under 5 years of age. Hattie isn’t at all “in your face” or needy' and if you look closely she’s not quite black but a lovely dark chocolate colour and her coat is so shiny. Hattie knows “sit:” and is getting used to the name we gave her She’s also terrific on a lead and reckons going for walks is good fun!

From her foster carer:
Hattie has a very loving nature and she enjoys being cuddled. She is great with kids, as we found out from spending time with some younger relatives and she won’t snap or bite if they get a bit rough but she does jump up when excited. Hattie is fine in the company of other dogs and puts up with playful puppies and is happy sharing the house with our rather spoilt male Maltese. Lastly she is not really a barker, so you won’t be woken up in the middle of the night or be annoyed by a constantly barking dog!

As Hattie is already house-trained and hasn’t had any “accidents” while she’s been in care (plus she sleeps inside) we would like to see her inside / outside lifestyle continue in her new home with either another friendly dog for company or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time while she settles in. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, bones to chew on (she absolutely loves them!) and toys to play with so she doesn't get bored and up to mischief.
