About Lucy
There once was a beautiful kelpie girl, who was rescued from a country pound and brought to Melbourne. She was named Sweetie because there has never been a more beautiful natured dog in all of time. She gave birth to three healthy puppies, and Lucy has shown strong signs of being her mother’s daughter.
Lucy is a gorgeous natured little lover, there are no two ways about it. Loves kids, loves cats, loves other dogs, loves people. She will cuddle until your arms and legs go numb and will happily entertain herself on her own as long as she can see and hear you. But because she’s such a lover, we’ve seen an early tendency to fret when left completely alone.
Being a pup, she should be trainable over time to deal with reasonable periods on her own. But we think she’ll be best suited to a forever home where, at least for the time being, she has some human company during the day. Along with lots of stimulation, training and activity that every growing girl needs to stay healthy and happy! She’s had a bit of a start with crate and housetraining and will sometimes sit, but it’s all so new that she’ll need ongoing practice and new challenges. She’s shown herself to be an eager learner, so it should be fun and satisfying for everyone to continue the journey.
If Lucy sounds like your girl, drop us a line! And make sure you also look at the listings for her brothers Billy and Bruce! They are three very different pups, so there's sure to be one that's perfect for you.
