About Ozzie
The handsome Ozzie recently lost his lifetime canine companion earlier this year. Like so many dachshunds it has taken Ozzie a while to move through his various stages of grief and although he is now doing a lot better, the loss of his best friend has left him feeling a little anxious and in need of more companionship than can currently be provided is his present home.
Ozzie himself is cute, cuddly, curious, quiet and doesn’t bark unnecessarily. \ With typical dachshund characteristics he will do anything for food or affection and so far is accomplished at sitting, dropping, staying and rolling over – although he only rolls over one way and that’s just because he might get a treat! \ Not sure why Ozzie thinks if he rolls the other way a treat won’t follow but that’s a highly intelligent dachshund for you. On top of all these tricks he’s still up for learning new ones as he’s a fast learner and exceptionally motivated to please.
He is well behaved out walking on a lead although will sometimes make some noise to show those other dogs across the street that he is of course a brave and tough dachshund and to stay away from Mr. Tough Guy. Ozzie will walk at heel and stop when his handler stops and will look up at you with those adoring eyes waiting to see what his next instructions are. He loves to lounge in the sun or on your lap, is a great fly catcher! a well-mannered dachshund and always pleased to see you coming home and welcomes you with a wild wagging tail and other displays of delight.
