About Star (On Trial 19/5/13)
Star is a 1yo, purebred English Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is a surprisingly small dog. She greatly enjoys playing with other dogs. She plays with our much larger dog, chasing the ball and running around with her. She sleeps curled up with my other dog who is 3 times her size. She's good with cats!
She's playful and a sweetheart. Since she is still young she does like to chew things but it helps to give her lots of chew toys and with further training and maturity she'll grow out of it. Star is great with kids, though does jump up on them with excitement. We recommend dog training for all dogs. She isn’t fussy with food. Her date of birth is 08/01/2011.
Star loves for you to throw her toys for her to go get. She loves tug-o-war and always wins! She's a little dominant but once settled in loves to play and have fun. She's happy to be home by herself with her foster brother but is very happy when you come home and greet her. She is a kind-hearted little staffy and whomever adopts her will be very happy with their choice.
For more information or to meet Star please phone foster carer Lisa on 0416 481 401. Star is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW 2323 (20 minutes north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Star's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
