About Maggie (On Trial 5/5/13)
Maggie is a 10 week old Smithfield Cattle Dog x Shar Pei puppy. She initially had a very shy personality but as she gets older her personality is starting to shine through. She loves to be around people and loves belly rubs. She loves to play with her chew toys and hide them.
Maggie loves playing with her foster brother and sister and is always excited when introduced to a new dog. She is happy to share her chew toys with them. She loves to lay at your feet at the end of the night and fall asleep. Maggie is such a loving girl, we prefer that she go to a home where she will be allowed inside for some bonding time with her family each day.
Maggie loves to follow you around and watch everything that you do. She is picking up her basic training quite quickly. She knows how to sit and wait for a treat. She is doing well with learning to walk nicely on lead and her toilet training. We recommend that Maggie receives puppy training to give her the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need attention exercise and training. We expect Maggie to grow into a medium size dog who will need at least one good walk or run every day. Cattle dogs are an active and intelligent breed.
For more information or to meet Maggie please phone/text foster carer Chloe on 0423 810 440 or email matnchlo@bigpond.com . Maggie is in foster care in Cameron Park, NSW 2285 (Newcastle).
You can meet Maggie now and pay a $225 non-refundable deposit to reserve her then you can take her home in mid May. Maggie's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
