About Spartan - requires an experienced owner
Spartan is a beautifully bred male German Shepherd who is housetrained, intelligent and a very loyal companion dog.
Spartan is coming up to six years of age and has been surrendered into our care after his former owner had let him sit in a boarding kennel for eight months.
Spartan is not for the novice or inexperienced shepherd owner in fact we need a person who is committed to their animals. We want to ensure the rest of his life has the quality that he has not had in his previous home.
Strong on the lead but very responsive to voice commands and he loves his daily walks and a good run off leash. Spartan knows his basic commands, sits, drops and with time will have recall with his new owner. He will not be homed to a person who leaves him in a yard all day in fact we are searching for a home where the owners are preferably retired who love this breed and who understand that they are virtually human.
Spartan is extremely well bred and has all the halmarks of this breed, unconditional loyalty, sensitivity, endless love and that special factor that only the "shepherd dog lovers understand". So please do not ring us if you just want "another dog" this boy is one in a million and is only to be homed as a family member.
This boy deserves a loving home he is one of the most endearing dogs we have come across and a real character so we want the best possible home for him.
He has shown he is social with all dogs and even the presence of cats does not phase him. Please do not call us if you only want a yard dog or you have not owned a shepherd dog before this boy is very special to us and we want him placed into a caring home where he will be provided with love, exercise, stimulation and inclusion in the family home.
Please contact Jo if you can fulfil our requirements.
