About Mini Moo (On Trial 15/5/13)
Mini Moo is a dear little 10 year old Maltese, and a total sweetheart. She loves having her belly rubbed and receiving lots of pats and hugs. She really enjoys a walk too and is good on and off lead. She loves to go for a little run! Mini just wants to be someone's special dog and she will be their most adoring and loyal little friend.
She is no trouble to bathe or groom. Mini has a low shedding, white fluffy coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
Mini Moo can be rather anxious in new situations and with new people. When stressed she tends to walk in a circle or lick her paws and needs to be distracted from this with a little kindness. She doesn't like to be picked up by people she doesn't know, but is fine if you just wait and let her come to you.
Mini is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when the family are home and to sleep inside. She is semi-housetrained and will use the doggy door if you have one, or just be let out regularly. But she does sometimes have accidents inside when she feels anxious. She loves her food and isn't a picky eater.
Mini would be ok in a home with one other small dog so long as the other dog doesn't pester her, but she is best suited to being an only dog. She prefers getting all the love herself.
Mini Moo is a special girl who needs calm, gentle treatment, and a low stress environment, so she wouldn't be suited to a home with children. Someone who doesn't work and had time for her would be ideal. Due to her special needs her adoption fee is only $100 donation. Mini is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
