About BJ
My name is BJ. I could tell you my story about where I've been and what I've been up to in my life but to be honest my only memory is being recently rescued from death row.
I was lucky enough to be rescued by Stef at Lucky Little Paws, she took me in even though I was skin and bone, old, riddled with fleas and looked seriously unloved and uncared for. But Stef didn't care - she gave me the chance I needed.
Since being at the shelter I have learnt to trust again. I have put on weight and I now have lovely nice soft fur. In fact I love my food so much I have a bit of a belly!
I used to get a little bit anxious when Stef left me alone, as I am so used to being abandoned, but I have now settled and am quite content. Although humans have never been that kind to me in the past I still love human companionship and I really just want a home of my own where I can get all the attention I deserve.
You will see that my ears are folded over a little, the vet thinks this is from a nasty case of ear mites at some stage. I'm all healed now but unfortunately it doesn't make me look any more handsome.
I'm not a big fan of dogs... but I don't mind other cats (just not too many of them).
As long as I have a bed, some yummy food, and someone to give me lots of cuddles then I am happy.
I'm pretty special at the shelter so I know they will only choose the best home for me, but I am looking forward to finally having a home of my own where I can live out the rest of my life and never have to worry about being homeless again.
