About George
Add some ‘Georgian elegance' to your home with this sweet ‘shabby chic’ boy. \ He’s certainly gone from rags to riches and is slowly discovering his lost kittenhood. He was a skinny little scrap of a cat when he was discovered in a suburban backyard. He has now turned into a big handsome muscular boy with a thick plush coat. He walks with a bit of a swagger although he’s more of a lover than a fighter. Apart from being black, he has a cute white tummy, an amber beauty spot in his yellow eyes, and a white ‘bow tie’ that jiggles from side to side when he trots up to greet you.
His favourite activities are eating, giving leg rubs, making ‘brrrp’ noises, being brushed, and playing gentle string games. Probably no-one ever played with him or cuddled him when he was little, so he still finds those activities a little overwhelming, but he does enjoy a good warm lap. As he spent his early months not knowing about the kindness of humans he is a bit shy when meeting strangers, but will warm up once he knows he’s not in danger. He’s in desperate need of a furever home as the two resident female cats are old and very stressed at the presence of this young whippersnapper disturbing their peace. He’s a fast learner – for example he only needed to be told once not to scratch the couch and used the litter box perfectly straight away which is amazing for a cat who spent his kittenhood on the streets. It was also very easy to teach him to give a little beg before his dinner. He adores the garden and when the mood strikes him he’ll race around with a case of the ‘kitten zoomies’. He also adores watching his foster parents garden – he seems to grow in confidence, supervising and approving all the garden projects. As he’s spent a bit of time “living rough” he’ll make the most loyal and loving companion and be forever grateful to you for saving him.
