About Rusty (On Trial 1/5/13)
Rusty is a 15 month old, male, chihuahua x shih tzu. He is a very gentle, sweet natured, but shy boy. He is somewhat reserved until he gets to know you, then his personality shines through and his playful side comes out! I don't think he would cope well in a noisy hectic household or where there are small children.
Rusty is not at all aggressive and is quite submissive with other dogs. He enjoys playing with other small dogs but also enjoys his cuddles and to sleep on your bed. Rusty is a inside dog and deserves a home and family of his own. He is a very sweet young boy and is no trouble to have around. He would make someone a loving family member.
For more information or to meet Rusty please phone foster carer Lucyann on 02-4973-5796. Rusty is in foster care in Dora Creek, NSW 2264 (southern Lake Macquarie).
Rusty's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
