About Missy (On Trial 5/5/13)
Missy is a beautiful female Border Collie x Kelpie. At 2 years of age she is a very loving and happy dog. She was regrettably surrendered by her family who could no longer meet her needs. She came from a very good home which she shared with three young children, playing with her happily in the back yard. Her old owner said she was great with the kids.
Since Missy came to us a few weeks ago she has settled in so well. She gets on well with her foster sisters. Missy has a very gentle and loving nature. Loves to play fetch, and is very clever at catching and bringing the ball back. She loves pats, belly rubs, cuddles and to shake hands.
Missy loves to lay on her bed for a nap after a play. She is a good boy inside the house, he will lay on his bed while you watch tv. Missy is a joy to have around.
She sits patiently and waits for his breakfast and not at all fussy with her food. Missy is gentle girl who loves to please you, she is obedient and mostly a joy to have around. Her new owner will need to be committed to regular exercise such as long walks, runs or some off the leash time at the dog park or beach. Overall Missy is a very loving, happy, loyal, healthy dog waiting for her forever home.
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
