On Hold
About Sadie (On Hold pending adoption 24/5)
Sadie is an affectionate Kelpie x Border Collie puppy, 6 to 8 months old. She is a very gentle and well mannered dog. She loves her walks, and adores children. We have already taught her some basic training such as "shake" and "wait".
Typical border collie, she is full of energy, but loves to come in at night for a cuddle. We'd prefer for her to go to a home where this would continue.
Sadie would be an ideal best friend for an active person who would take her for a walk or run every day and take her to training classes. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. \
Sadie gets along very well with our other dog and they have a great time playing together. Sadie gets excited when she sees other dogs when out for walks but this can be improved with further training. She would be happy to have another friendly dog to play with in her forever home.
For more information or to meet our lovely Sadie, please phone foster carer Kathy on 0412 043 769 or email bsouth@ozito.com.au . Sadie is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Sadie's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
