Sparky (On Trial 23/5/13)

My name is Sparky and I am a tri-colour Jack Russell cross girl, approx 2 years old. I’ve only just now returned from the doggie beauty salon in town. Wow, was that fun or what? …AND I’m looking and smelling like an absolute dreamboat.

I am a friendly, energetic and happy girl who currently resides in Mudgee, NSW, but am available to travel to my forever home. I walk very calmly on a lead and I usually manage a straight line, even though, I occasionally like to show off my tricky zig-zag manoeuvre. Every now and then, I like to stop dead on the footpath to make sure my ‘peeps’ are still paying attention to me. Hehehe, I'm still learning.

I am a very good girl; I hardly ever bark, I don’t dig, I travel well in the car and have never disgraced myself in front of my foster humans by doing unmentionables in public. My fosterers are teaching me not to jump on people. I don't really 'get' Schmackos and I am still learning about the whole ball throwing and retrieving deal. I mostly just love humans.

Because I like to stay active and love to exercise, I would love to be part of a sporty family, preferably with young children, because (did I mention already?) humans are my favourite thing! Actually, most everything is my favourite thing. My favourites list: being inside, being outside; my inside bed, my outside bed; basking in the sun, walking in the rain…Well, I’m sure you get the picture.

Sparky's philosophy on life: “Whatever you do, smile and have fun doing it.” In conclusion: if you adopt me, I promise to love you more than you love yourself and be the funnest dog eva. Thanks for listening to my story and I really look forward to meeting you.

Foster carers’ comments: Sparky is an obedient and intelligent dog who follows instructions when she understands what is required of her. She is very receptive to training, but still needs a little more work in that regard. \ She will be ready to travel to her forever home from 20/4/13.
