About Bella (2) (On Trial 4/9/13)
Bella is a 5 month old Kelpie X. She is a beautiful and sweet girl, who loves to play. She is currently living with one other dog about her size, and loves to play with him. She is learning all her basic commands at the moment, and this intelligent girl has picked them up very quickly! She now knows sit, stay, come, lay down and is learning how to wait for her food!
Bella just loves cuddles with her humans, and will happily lay at your feet, or follow you around just to be near! That is unless she has a really cool toy to play with – because she just adores her toys! She isn’t fussed what kind of food she gets, anything edible is her favourite! She loves her rawhide chews or raw bones! She especially loves training time when her foster mum gives her treats for being good!
I don’t believe Bella was walked much before coming into my care, she can pull a bit on the lead when we go for walks, but this is changing quickly with her training. She has barked a few times when there is action outside and can jump up when excited. Her foster mum and dad are training her not to do this. She is a very trainable puppy and I do believe she will grow out of this quickly with continued training.
She has not spent any time around Children or cats while in my care, but I don’t believe it would be an issue, as she is just so sweet.. She doesn’t fret when we leave her of a day or put her out at night, although currently she has the company of her foster brother.
Her ideal forever home would be one where she will be walked daily, and have lots of time to spend with her foster family. She is very low maintenance, and so long as she had toys or another dog her size to keep her company through the day, and would be allowed to be inside with you when you were home, she would fit right in to any home!
For more information or to meet Bella please phone foster carer Mat or Chloe on 0421 669 884 or email matnchlo@bigpond.com . Bella is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Bella's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
