About Mia
Meet Mia !
That’s “Mia” as in “Meer-Kat”. Okay, Meerkat’s are technically not cats, but little Mia (pictured right) thinks she resembles a small mongoose. \ Here’s why…
Mia is a just over 9 weeks old, and we are yet to hear Mia meow. Oh, she’s vocal, very vocal in fact, but just like the wild Meerkat, Mia only “trills” or “chirrups”. Mia’s preference to stand on her hind legs (as opposed to all four) and her love of digging holes, convinced us of her name. Meer aka Mia!
Just like the wild mongoose Meerkat, Mia will entertain you with hours of antics including, conversational trilling, sock stealing (yes, be prepared to wear unmatched socks) and hide-and-go-seek.
Mia’s an inquisitive little character. Much smaller than her sister “Sasha”, but definitely not small in stature. She’s bold and cheeky, yet vulnerable and delectable. Mia loves to have your undivided attention – particularly after her belly’s full. Every night without doubt, Mia will seek out a foster human to bond with. Mia drops her bravado, curls her body up next to your body and turns her little chirrups into purr-ips. A sound our daughter says is a cross between a ‘chirrup’ and a ‘purr’. Very cute! Very Mia!
If you have some young ones (children or grand-children), Mia’s perfectly okay with this. \ She loves our 7 year old daughter, Abbey, often choosing Abbey’s lap before the grown-ups. We have a sneaking suspicion that this might have something to do with Abbey spending more time in front of the TV – hence her lap is readily available J.
Mia , is an indoor cat. With access to a cat enclosure, Mia enjoys taking in the outside smells and sights on a daily basis. She is fully kitty litter trained, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated (yet to be desexed). The adoption fee is $175. As Little Paws is a rescue organisation, the adoption fee is not negotiable.
Dual adoptions of siblings is discounted to $325. \ Mia’s sister is Sasha and understandably they share a close bond.
If you would like to hear more about Mia, please call Mia’s foster carer, Robyn on 0437 290 071 whom is located at Wakerley, Brisbane Bayside.
