About Lucie
Lucie has been in foster care for a few weeks and is not sure what life holds for her now. She is a gentle but scared little soul who loves to be around people and follows her carer everywhere and will willingly cuddle with her at any time. Lucie is excellent walking on lead and enjoys her regular one hour walks to the local parks, stopping often to sniff around as it is all still new to her. She is wary and a little skittish around big dogs but this should improve with continued and gradual exposure. Lucie is a very sweet, quiet dog that has only barked a couple of time when she felt strangers were entering the house. She was not eating much the first couple of days but, now that she has settled in, eats eagerly and has started putting on weight. Lucie does not seem interested in playing with dog toys and bolted to the end of the yard the first time she was given a squeaky toy! She is happy to just curl up and sleep when she is not interacting with her foster carer. Lucie will be a wonderful companion but needs lots of love, patience and consistency and to feel secure in her forever home which ideally should have an area indoors where she can be contained but still feel part of the family.
