About Janie
Janie is a timid dog that has been through the wringer and really deserves a break. She really loves people and would be well perfectly suited for someone who doesn't have other pets. She loves nothing more than to be near you and when the opportunity arises to sit on your lap. Janie would need her carer to be around most of the time. We've had janie now for 3 weeks and she is just starting to settle down in our house with our other dog and cat. Janie looks much older than her age. She has one damaged ear, and strangely shaped legs. She is very petite, almost scrawny. She also is recovering from a very itchy body which has left her with many red raw bald spots. I actually thought she was closer to 10 than the vets assessment of 2! which is probably an indication of the rough time she's had. She seems to want to meet other dogs in the park but hasn't been well socialised and can be defensive. We believe that she used to live with an elderly woman who went into a home. As a consequence janie went to the pound and no-one claimed her. Janie is a sweet girl who deserves to be given a second chance by a patient carer - and her new family will then be rewarded as janie's true personality emerges.
