About Delilah (Adopted 30/11/13)
Delilah is a 12 month old kelpie x sweetheart! Her striking colours match her beautiful personality. Delilah is very well behaved inside and out. She responds to commands very well as we have started training with her, Delilah is top of her class. Continuous training is still recommended.
She would love to go to an active family that will walk her daily or take her to the park and make sure she is a part of the family. She could be the only dog or have a brother or sister that doesn’t mind her being the boss. If she is going to be by herself she will need things to keep her occupied throughout the day.
She is good with kids, however not cats or small animals as Delilah is quite active and probably a bit much for a smaller animal. She is learning how to play fetch and now that she’s getting the idea of the game she loves it.
Delilah will make an ideal member of a new family!
For more information or to meet Delilah please phone Mel on 0432 288 773 or Sue on 02-4954-2234 or 0415-367-144. Delilah is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Delilah’s $100 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.
Medical notes
Healthy young dog.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
