About Dennis
Dennis reminds me of a Emperor Penguin
with that big splash of white on his chest.
Dennis spent 4 weeks at one of the largest pounds in Sydney. and was not coping very well in there.
I met Dennis very early in his pound stay. He clicked with me instantly when i entered his enclosure and what a adorable scallywag he was. I fell in love with this older dog with a face that i could not get out of my mind for the next 4 weeks as i watched him get held over from being put to sleep time and time again.
As Dennis was a unmicrochipped dog his time was up after 7 days at the pound .They then gave him a lifeline time and time again. I could watch no more and rescued him.
Dennis has proved to be a wonderful house dog. He is getting used to other dogs being around him and has made friends with another older dog here a 11 year old female.
In the time he has been here Dennis has been worked with very slowly and he has blossomed in many ways. He is super trainable and very quick to learn..Dennis has had some time invested in him at some stage of his life. He knows basic commands and seems housetrained.
Dennis has a huge personality that will have you in stitches . He will never be boring .
Dennis is 7 kg so he is still a small dog who looks larger than he really is in the photos. He is not like an older dog in movement he is very agile and has quite a few years left yet.
Dennis is CAT friendly which is a big bonus.
Dennis is a very loyal dog who is very loving. He melts for his cuddles and adores being with his human. He has a lot of spunk and he needed this for the next step of his new journey.
Dennis had 16 teeth removed on desexing. His previous life was not one where anybody noticed his mouth full of rotten teeth or his knock you over breath .The remaining 20 or so have been scaled and polished.
Dennis will suit a quiet home with no young children and perhaps another female dog for company but he is just as happy to be with his humans. Getting belly rubs is one of his favourite pastimes.
Dennis is located in outer south west Sydney and is NOT available for interstate adoption.
