About Elly May (On Trial 18/4/13)
Elly May is a 10 year old, Toy Poodle x Maltese. She loves her chew toys and is a little more active than you'd expect from a dog her age. She loves to be near you getting some attention - she just loves company! Leaving her home is no problem as she gets on great with my other little dogs to keep her company.
She is an intelligent little girl, which is a poodle trait. She is not a fussy eater and loves her treats. She is an inside dog and is fully housetrained. Elly May has a non-shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
She did not have a happy life before being rescued. But that hasn't dampened her spirit or love of life. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl that really just wants someone to love her and she will pay you back in bucket loads.
For more information or to meet Elly May please phone foster carer Debbie on 02 4945 8756 or email smilingspider@vtel.com.au . Elly May is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).
Elly May's $200 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
