About Miette (On Trial 7/4/13)
Introducing Miette, 9 month old Shoodle (shih tzu x poodle). She has a lovely and gentle personality and loves to be cuddled and to snuggle. She loves everyone especially children of all ages. My son had friends over on the weekend and Miette just LOVED them, she was in her element.
She follows me everywhere and especially enjoys sitting on the lounge with her foster family whilst watching TV. Miette also loves to play with my little shih tzu x maltese as they are the same height. She doesn't play with my big dogs as they are too big for her. She also loves to play with all the toys. She use to bark a lot when she first came here. But has settled a lot since in a short time and now only barks when she thinks it's important.
Miette is an inside dog and sleeps inside but she does have access to outside through the day to go to the toilet. We are working on toilet training and she is learning. She has a glossy black coat which doesn't shed so she needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
Miette walks well on a harness and lead but gets upset in the car if she can't see you or feel your hand. She would benefit from some dog training as she has had none at all but she does know how to sit on command and is intelligent.
Miette and my 15yr old cat absolutely love to play. They chase each other up and down my house and they actually like each other..they are so cute to watch :)
Miette will only go to her furever home that has a little playful puppy or dog around the same size for company as she DOES NOT like being left alone. A retired person or a stay at home mum would be ideal. So if this describes you and you would like to meet Miette, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm sure Miette will be the love of some lucky person's life.
For more information or to meet Miette please phone foster carer Krystina on 02 4948-5557 or 0414-702-323 or email krystina_ws@hotmail.com
. Miette is in foster care in Charlestown , NSW 2290 (Newcastle). She is not available for adoption interstate.
Miette's $500 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
