About Elwood
Elwood, the gentle blue giant, is ready for his forever home! Raced, rescued and ready for LOVE!
Elwood came from a Sydney pound and was visibly distressed and it was obvious that he came from a very abusive home. He was found a a stray and landed in the pound with open wounds and emotional trauma. When touched he would yelp out because he anticipated pain.
Elwood has been in foster care now for almost 3 months and has made considerable progress. He is still a bit timid around strangers but has learnt that his bad past is really behind him. Elwood can still worry sometimes but when he is out with his friends such as Romeo (above) at the horse paddock, he is all smiles and has a lot of fun.
Elwood is healthy and about 6 years old. He has a beautiful blue coat and is a tall but gentle greyhound. He has been exposed to little kids and other dogs and has never put a foot wrong.
He would suit a family with another dog for company and could also live with kids. Elwood is not cat friendly though.

2) Fill in our adoption inquiry form so we can learn more about you, your family and lifestyle.
3) We match a greyhound to your family and work situation based on the information given in our adoption inquiry
4) Kay's Greys conducts a house check and introduces you to the greyhound
5) If you like the greyhound, he/she goes on a 3- 4 week trial with you
6) After a successful trial period, the greyhound moves in permanently with your family. If it doesn't work out, we take the greyhound back and you can try a different one if you like
