About Suzie (On Trial 26/3/13)
Suzie is a beautiful 6-8 month old Great Dane X who is looking for someone to love. She is a bright and healthy pup just waiting for the right family to give her a home. Suzie is medium to large and probably still has some growing to do. She is all droopy eyes, long legs and big ears- such a cutie. Her beautiful brindle coat is glossy and healthy, and her little white socks are gorgeous.
Since moving in with us two weeks ago she has quickly settled into what can be a hectic and unpredictable schedule. There were concerns that she may suffer from separation anxiety but there have been none of the tell-tale signs. When I leave for work she settles down with her foster sisters and toys and plays until I return. She is in no way destructive and is fully house-trained.
Suzie has a friendly and affectionate nature. Before moving in here, she lived with children and loved their company.
Playing with her foster sisters is Suzie’s favourite pass time, so a home with a brother or sister would be best. She shows no signs of aggression or dominance and mixes well with breeds of all sizes and ages. Suzie quickly makes friends with everyone she meets and is always ready for a game of chase!
An active family would be perfect for Suzie. She has abundant energy and puppy enthusiasm for life. Having said that, she also loves smoochy cuddle-time with her humans. Suzie is doing well with her basic training, can sit and shake, and will continue to excel with ongoing practise. She walks quite well on a lead but will need further work to go to the top of the class.
Whilst Suzie loves to be inside with her family, she also enjoys exploring the yard and has shown no signs of looking to escape. My fences are quite low but she has made no effort to go beyond them.
She does not dig and only barks when another dog walks by or a stranger comes to the house. She calms down very quickly and never escalates to nuisance barking.
If you’re looking for someone to give you unconditional love, cuddles and kisses- then Suzie is your girl. She is an absolute darling!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
