About Chewy
Are you a special person looking for a special dog? Well, Chewy had a rough start to life and is looking for a special new person to give him the love and happy home that he deserves. Chewy is a sweet little dog who loves to sit with you and have cuddles. He is a very loyal boy and being with you is the most important thing for him. Chewy needs direction in life, so he needs you to be a calm but firm influence to guide him. Due to his history, Chewy will be best as an only dog with no children or cats either. Chewy is happy to be your whole world, because you will be his!
Chewy is an active dog who loves his daily walks and his runs in the park. He likes meeting small dogs in the park but has a tendency to bark at the bigger ones. He is wary of meeting new people but with training this is improving. .
He is also a smart dog. He already shakes hands, begs, drops, etc. He still needs some help with his nervousness issues, and doesn't enjoy walking on main roads or loud noises. He is making progress all the time but it will take him a while to get over the issues caused by his early life. And he will go to his new home with his thundershirt and some homeopathic drops to help him.
Chewy loves riding in the car and would rather be with you than home alone, but he can cope by himself for a few hours if he has to, as long as he has something to do (bones are his favourite).
Chewy is still a young dog with a long life ahead of him. We want him to be happy and have the life he deserves with that kind person who understands that Chewy is special. If you are looking for a loyal dog, who will be your constant companion and are willing to put in some training then Chewy is the dog for you.
His foster carer says it has been so rewarding to watch Chewy come out of his shell and learn coping mechanisms for the world. Now it is time for him to find that home that will be his forever. Is that you?
