About Streak (On Trial 28/3/13)
Streak is a lively 18 month old Jack Russell cross, He is an affectionate little dog. He has a lovely temperament and wants to make friends with everyone he meets regardless of their age. He is all white but is not albino.
He gets a little excited when he meets other dogs but is not aggressive. He appears to be friendly with cats.
He is very playful and loves to play chase and wrestle with our resident dog. He loves long walks and is learning to sit to have his lead put on.
He is an intelligent little dog, comes when called and will respond to further training. He is house trained and loves to share your chair or sit on your lap. He has learnt to use the pet door. He has not tried to escape and has not shown any inclination to dig or chew shoes etc.
Streak would make an ideal dog for a young family or an active retiree.
For more information or to meet Streak please phone Brenda or Ray on 02 4919 0370. Streak is in foster care in Port Stephens, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Streak's $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
