About Polo (On Trial 21/4/13)
Polo is a 9 yr old Poodle X with a gentle soul. He is a medium sized, gentle, friendly boy who loves the company of both humans and other dogs. He spends his days keeping his foster carer company and staying at her side. He enjoys a lovely stroll around the block every day, turning heads where ever he goes! He is completely housetrained, and uses the doggy door to get in and out as he is an inside dog. He will need access to the backyard of a day and night as he prefers to spend his days and nights in the house next to his human companions and sleeps on his doggy bed on the floor in his foster carer's room.
Polo will let you know when he hears someone coming to the door but once he realises there is no threat he gets very happy that another person has arrived to give him pats and plenty of attention!
He travels very well in the car and is friendly and well behaved with children. His foster carer has a 7 month old granddaughter who he just loves and he also sticks his nose through the fence so the young girl next door can give him a pat. He is a sucker for attention! And will even shake and sit when asked!
Polo will get lonely if left alone at home alone so he will need to go to a home where someone is home most of the time or where he has a doggie playmate to entertain him. He has been known to howl when left alone for too long on his own.
Polo has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
Polo will make a beautiful addition to your family and will make a dear and loving companion to anyone!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
