About Findlay (On Trial 19/3/13)
Findlay a gorgeous Blue Heeler X puppy approx 10 weeks old. He is a loving adorable puppy whom loves the company of other dogs and people. He is good with children and currently still loves to chew on everything so will need lots of toys to keep him occupied! Note: Keep a watch on all your shoes!
He already sits when we bring his dinner and sits on command. We are still toilet training him but he is on his way to being fully toilet trained. He is a quiet but alert dog as a lot of working breeds are.
Findlay would make a great pet that you could take with you everywhere. He adores the beach and having a big run around in the water and sand. We have started training him off lead and will learn very quickly as he is very in tune with his training.
Findlay will need to go to a home where he has someone with him during the day as he needs to be kept active and alert and would not suit being in a backyard by himself.
So far he is good with cats and chickens and follows me everywhere, sits or lays at my feet when he isn’t playing. Findlay would be a fantastic pet for a family urban or rural but will need a lot of space to run around and play.
For more information or to meet Findlay please phone Glenis on 0416 099 254 or 02 4399 3436. Findlay is in foster care in San Remo, NSW 2262 (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Findlay’s $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
