Chief (adopted ~9/2013)

Chief is a 4yo German Shepherd x Cattle Dog. He has a very handsome Shepherd face but is a little smaller than most. He is by far the most loyal and loving dog I have ever met. He has plenty of energy and loves to walk. He walks well on a lead, but is equally happy just lying at your feet.

Chief is great around children but not so great around cats and birds, which he loves to chase. He is good with other dogs and gets along beautifully with our other dog. He loves to jump and can jump fences up to 6 feet. He gets so excited at being out to run he sometimes forgets to come back so he needs high fences and a secure yard.

He is house trained and picking up basic commands very quickly, eg: sitting, laying, waiting for food and stay. Chief never barks so hes easy on the ears. If you want a loyal loving family dog than hes the gentleman for you.
