About Judy (On Trial in a new home 12/3/13)
Introducing Judy, a 2 year old, female, Purebred Miniature Poodle. She is a beautiful little girl who enjoys being close to you and is very affectionate and loves lots of pats. She is mainly an inside dog but does like going outside too. She would be best suited to a family where someone is home the majority of the time or has another little dog for her as a companion as she does have some separation anxiety. Judy gets on well with other dogs and has also met my 14 month old granddaughter with no problems.
Judy is getting used to living in an environment where she is free to move around. She was surrendered by her previous owner with male poodle Peppa, who is also available for adoption, and their 5 puppies. She and Peppa were being used for breeding and had been kept in cages. Judy is toilet trained and uses the doggy door. She is learning to play with toys and to play with other dogs. She sleeps on a doggy bed next to my bed at night without a sound.
Judy has a non-shedding coat so she will need regular combing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful. You'll need to be prepared to commit to this if you want a poodle. Poodles are very intelligent dogs and do well at training.
Please email me at jay019@optusnet.com.au or phone 0417 412885. Judy is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Judy's $550 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
