About Gypsy (adopted 3/5/13)
Gypsy is a 5 year old blue heeler. She is very fit, extremely sociable, does not dig holes, gets along with horses, ponies, cattle, chickens and cats. She loves to play with and catch toys and lives for belly rubs! She loooves all people of all ages and wants to greet everyone she sees. She adores children.
Gypsy has good basic training: she can sit, lay, fetch, walk on lead, etc. Typical cattle dog, she is very clever, obedient, and quick to learn new things.
She is not friendly with all new dogs, so she needs to be introduced slowly. As long as the other dog is submissive and no threat to her then she will be friends with them.
Gypsy is an indoor/outdoor dog. She is a very friendly and social girl and craves human companionship so she needs to spend at least some time every day inside with her family.
Gypsy is in need of a new home through no fault of her own. She was a much loved family member but sadly they could no longer keep her. She will make a very loyal and loving friend for some kind family. A home without another dog would be ideal but if there is another dog they would need to be submissive and friendly. Gypsy would suit a lonely older person or active young family or anyone with a well fenced yard who could take her for a walk everyday and let her be a part of their life.
For more information or to meet Gypsy please phone foster carer Annemarie on 0448 430 370 or email ascheef@hotmail.com . Gypsy is in foster care in Central Coast NSW, near Ourimbah.
Gypsy's $300 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
