About Mini (On Trial 12/5/13)
Mini is a sweet, happy-go-lucky mini foxy cross. She is aged 2 on her veterinary papers, however I’d predict she is just coming out of her puppy stage as she still loves to gnaw on your hand like a pup and she still finds the odd thing to chew on.
I have two foxys of my own and I find that she plays really well with them. Mini can stick up for herself if need be, but is only interested in playing and having a good time with other dogs. Mini would be best to go to a household with another dog if the owners work as she has a lot of energy to burn.
Mini would also be happiest as an inside dog. She LOVES people and should be with a family that can give her all the attention she craves. I have been painting our bedroom with the door shut and when I walked out of the room, Mini had dragged her bed down the hall to wait for me to emerge. Very sweet!
Mini is a fast learner and she has learnt to sit for food, use the doggy door and go to the toilet outside in the short time I’ve had her. She still requires basic training and an owner that can be patient with her until she has worked out the house rules.
Mini will eat just about anything and as she is so food motivated, training her is a breeze. She has eaten apple and banana, which my two would never touch. It is also very easy to give her tablets as she will scoff them down. You do have to watch her though, as she is still to learn what is for humans and what is for dogs!
My dogs are the yappy kind that will bark at everyone and everything. Mini only barks when necessary which is very positive.
I have not seen what Mini is like with kids, but I imagine that she would be very good. She is very playful and I’m sure children would find her hilarious to be around.
Mini is a special little girl and with her loving, affectionate nature, she is a true pleasure to be around.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
